It's all to raise money for the VPW Foundation college scholarships.
The Purse Raffle & How It Works
Numbered tickets will be sold, only as many as we have purses. As each number is drawn from a hat, the holder of the ticket with that number gets 30 seconds to select a purse from the display.
One of the purses will contain a certificate for a year’s VPW and NFPW dues — worth almost $100. Some of the other purses will contain valuable and fun surprises as well.
You can win even if you can't be present — buy a raffle ticket online and delegate someone to choose a purse for you.
The Live Auction
Seven great travel packages plus luxury dining, tickets for a concert, Garden Week and golf, and a newspaper subscription — all are on our auction block.
You do not have to be present to win — if you have a proxy. Want to bid by proxy? First read the details of the offerings, then email Katherine Calos (KCalos@timesdispatch.com) with your starting and maximum bids and "VPWF Proxy for Auction" in the subject line. The cutoff time is noon Thursday, March 31.
Our live auctioneer will be Martha Steger, past VPW president and Communicator of Achievement.
You may pay with check or cash or by credit card using our link to Paypal.
