Where’s the Conference?

The conference will be held at the international office of ChildFund, 2821 Emerywood Parkway, Richmond. The building is located just past the intersection of Glenside Drive and Broad Street. If you need a landmark, look for the Sheetz gas station at the corner of Emerywood Parkway and Broad Street. Once you turn on Emerywood, you will travel about one mile and then turn left into the parking lot. Parking is free.

Friday Fun

Catch up with other members, unwind and enjoy the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts on Friday, Oct. 12. We will meet at 5:30 p.m. at the membership desk in VMFA's entrance hall for a free tour of the galleries led by chief communications officer, Suzanne Hall. Take this opportunity to see VMFA’s remarkable permanent collection of more than 23,000 works of art from almost every major world culture. Especially noteworthy are the museum's collections of Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Modern and Contemporary American art, as well as French Impressionist and Post-Impressionist art, British sporting art and Faberge jeweled objects. The museum's holdings of South Asian, Himalayan, and African art are among the finest in the nation.

Following the tour, at 6:30, we'll have a Dutch-treat dinner-and-wine at VMFA’s cafeteria-style Best Café. Parking in the museum deck is free to members; nonmembers arriving at the hotel early can carpool to save on the $5 per-car parking for nonmembers.  This will be a great networking opportunity!
